Code of Conduct

Our Pledge

We, the contributors and maintainers of the Nixopus project, pledge to create an open and welcoming environment for all participants. We are committed to making involvement in our project and community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Our Standards

Positive Behaviors

To foster a positive environment, we encourage the following behaviors:

  • Using inclusive and welcoming language
  • Respecting diverse viewpoints and experiences
  • Gracefully accepting constructive feedback
  • Prioritizing the community's best interests
  • Showing empathy towards fellow community members

Unacceptable Behaviors

The following behaviors are considered unacceptable within our community:

  • Use of sexualized language or imagery and unwelcome sexual attention or advances
  • Trolling, insulting comments, and personal or political attacks
  • Public or private harassment
  • Publishing others' private information without explicit permission
  • Any conduct that would be inappropriate in a professional setting

Responsibilities of Project Maintainers

Nixopus project maintainers are responsible for:

  • Clarifying and enforcing standards of acceptable behavior
  • Taking appropriate and fair corrective action in response to instances of unacceptable behavior
  • Removing, editing, or rejecting contributions not aligned with this Code of Conduct
  • Temporarily or permanently banning contributors for behaviors deemed inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all Nixopus project spaces, both online and offline, as well as when an individual represents the project in public spaces. Examples of representation include using an official project email address, posting via official social media accounts, or acting as an appointed representative at events.

Enforcement

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported by contacting the Nixopus project team at raghavyuva@gmail.com. All complaints will be reviewed, investigated, and addressed as deemed necessary and appropriate. The project team is committed to maintaining confidentiality regarding incident reporters.

Project maintainers who fail to uphold or enforce the Code of Conduct may face temporary or permanent consequences, as determined by the project's leadership.
