The extension uses a device authorization flow to connect your Nixopus account. You approve the connection in your browser — no passwords or tokens pasted into the editor.
1

Open the Nixopus sidebar

Click the Nixopus icon in the activity bar. If you’re not signed in, you’ll see a Sign In with Browser button.
2

Authorize in your browser

Click the button. Your browser opens to the Nixopus authorization page. A device code is displayed in the sidebar — enter it in your browser to confirm.
3

Done

Once approved, the extension is authenticated. You can close the browser tab and return to your editor.
Self-hosted users authenticate with email and password by default.
Sessions persist across editor restarts. You only need to sign in again if you explicitly sign out or your session expires.
